The work depicts a combination of photographs of the city and illustration of sci-fi fantasy based fictional characters “alien” warring over the city: Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan with animals, insects, fishes and everyday object like bulbs, shoes and so on.

With the growing age of a person, they are supposed to be practical; childish fantasies and perception of the world are seen as senseless and shunned as un-adult. I want to emphasize this particular way of thinking and understanding the complex world, in a child- like representation of fantasy, imaginary activities and playfulness in actions. Talking about my personal thoughts, we humans have the extraordinary ability to think, create and fictionalize. From our sensibilities we can distinguish and process realistic feelings from the unrealistic wants or theories, we can make impossible things possible in our imaginary world.

This series of works were created for the BFA show in 2016 for Kathmandu University School of Art, Center for Arts and Design. Exhibited at Nepal Art Council, Kathmandu, Nepal.
